Sydney’s Story

“I still have bad days every once in a while, but I had forgotten what it feels like to feel good for days at a time. My life is continuing to change before my eyes. Every day I get stronger and more confident.”

Sydney, age 19, was diagnosed with POTS at the Mayo Clinic. She was on high dose salt and numerous prescriptions at the time she came to POTS Care. She suffered from PTSD, anxiety, migraines, and POTS. After addressing her underlying causes she remained consistent and persisted in her fight against her “invisible illness.” She emailed us at POTS Care eight months later with an update.

Hello everyone at POTS Care. I just wanted to let you guys know that I have been doing amazing. I’m currently a full-time student at New Mexico State University. I have a full schedule including a dance class and a weightlifting class. I am kicking butt in both of them. I still have bad days every once in awhile, but I had forgotten what it feels like to feel good for days at a time. My life is continuing to change before my eyes. Every day I get stronger and more confident (though it will take awhile for my brain to stop constantly worrying about my body). I just wanted to let you guys know, and I wanted to thank you so much for your commitment and patience. You all have changed my life. Big hugs to you all.
